In our society, the price of modern weddings have skyrocketed. In 2024, the average US couple will spend between $28-38k for a 150 person wedding. Weddings are becoming less of an event and more of a unique entertainment celebration marking a significant milestone in a couples journey together.
With this context in mind, I have created packages to serve a range of budgets without compromising the quality of my art supplies or the level of entertainment provided. If helpful, payment plans can be drawn up at no additional cost.
I pride myself on sourcing the highest grade painting supplies from small-batch and locally owned businesses. I will never sacrifice quality for a “cheap sale”, as all of my products are designed to be heirloom quality. I also have invested thousands of dollars in art education, to better understand how to best preserve fine art to last for generations, so that your investment can be passed down to the next generation looking as good as it did as the day it was completed.

The Process
01
Inquire about your date
I accept dates first-come, first-serve. Please reserve your venue/date before reaching out. If your destination is on my list of places I’d like to visit, I will significantly discount the required travel stipend. No travel fees are imposed for all Michigan weddings.
Once the date is confirmed, we will set up a meet and greet. We will go over the process, I’ll get a better understanding of your vision for your painting, and we can decide if we’re a good fit.

Book Your Date
To secure your date in my calendar, I require a signed contract and a 25% retainer. This officially books your date and guarantees that I will not accept any other events on your day.

Finalize the Details
One month out from your event, we will meet again to review and finalize the event details and desired moment of your painting. We will also review the day of contact information and emergency backup plans to ensure everything goes as expected on the big day.

The Big Day
On the big day, I will arrive a minimum of three hours in advance to set up and begin. I bring all of my supplies and only require access to an electrical outlet for my lighting. Since we prepared well in advance, I intend to stay out of your hair on the big day so that you can soak it all in. During the event, you and your guests watch the painting come to life. By the end of the night, my goal is for you to recognize you and your partner in the painting along with major elements of the scenery. I will transport the painting back to my studio for final touch ups and varnishing.

Review and Approval
Post event, once finished in my studio I will share the final work with you for approval before sealing with varnish. I’ll carefully package and ship your heirloom straight to your door. Enjoy showing off your masterpiece beginning for the rest of forever!
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you travel and/or paint at destination weddings?
YES. I am a world traveler and would be ecstatic to come to you! Additional fees may apply, discounts available for select locations.
This is a gift for the bride or couple. Can you keep it a secret until the day of the event?
Absolutely. Paintings make a phenomenal wedding gift to give. Please let me know if you’d like to surprise a special couple in your life.
Do you offer a stress-free wedding day experience?
This is my #1 goal, and as a fellow bride I understand how much effort goes into planning a wedding. We cover all communication one month in advance of your event, so that you and I can arrive on the big day both prepared. I will also be prepared with your wedding planner or day-of coordinator’s contact information.
Do you paint other events?
Yes! Though less common, I do accept requests for live event paintings at graduation, retirement, birthday parties and other special occasions.
What if my wedding already happened?
I am happy to create a one-of-a-kind painting from photographs of your wedding. Whether combining a collage of several photos, or recreating your most favorite portrait, it’s my pleasure to create something unique from your wedding.
What type of paint do you use?
Professional-grade Golden brand acrylics.
When will I receive my painting?
All paintings return to my studio for touch-ups and varnishing. I aim to return your painting within 6 weeks of your event date.
Do you require a vendor meal?
Yes, as a vendor and guest entertainer it is difficult to store food or step out for for a hot meal when the event is in full motion. Though I don’t require a fancy plated dish, I require (and am grateful for) a meal on the event day.
Will my painting actually last for a lifetime?
Yes, I take the utmost care from start to finish in my process to guarantee a painting for life. I also send you with best tips to display and store your painting so that you and your loved ones are able to enjoy it for many years to come.
Do you offer guest favors or anniversary gifts?
Yes, I offer live watercolor guest illustrations as a party favor. Guests swoon over their own sketch and are sure to never leave it behind when the night ends. I also create custom painted liquor bottles upon request.
