How the business was born:

A few short years ago, I was sitting in a business class at a prestigious university pondering my message for a capstone essay on the career I was building. I decided to be begrudgingly honest with myself… I could care less about climbing a corporate ladder.

The professor of this class administered a strengths assessment which identified my top strength as “appreciation of beauty and excellence”. I took a leap of faith, and instead wrote my essay on how I’ll build an art business that celebrates the beauty of life, fully accepting that the professor may wonder what I was still doing in university.

To my surprise, he provided unwavering encouragement and even gave me a few pointers on how to get started. To him, it was evident how much painting meant to me, and I shouldn’t waste any time continuing to avoid it. Fast forward six months, I completed my degree and founded Fuerst Paints.
When I'm Not Painting...
Outside of my dream job, I help healthcare leaders build and nourish healthy working cultures, collect books (and sometimes read them), extensively research my next travel adventure, and enjoy pranking my husband, daydreaming about my next goal, and rescuing stray animals. Every purchase goes towards developing our animal rescue sanctuary.
